His new album 'The Swinging Years' captures highlights of a remarkable career spanning seven decades! And today - Doctor Swing - as he is called in recognition of his honorary doctorates - is performing even more gigs than hedid when Tommy Dorsey, Harry James and Glenn Miller ruled the juke box and network radio.
'The Swinging Years' is a blend of Dal's unique stylings heard on "Live From The Panorama Roof" - a staple on national radio for a quarter century - and todays contemporary Dal Richards Orchestra. Trumpet-playing vocalist Jamie Croil and talented singer-keyboardist Diane Lines complement the vocalizations of the former boy singer and now mature crooner, Dal Richards, resulting in a recording that captures much of the secret of Doctor Swing's success.
