Rick Henry
Rick Henry's story is anything but your typical "young kid moves to Nashville to seek his fame and fortune" scenario. Although this Canadian country artist did move to Music City with those intentions, several years of highly unusual activities (such as Bounty hunting, building and driving Race Cars, and piloting his own Ultra light airplane, which he taught himself to fly) have given this testosterone driven kid from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, the grit and life experience to become a singer/songwriter of depth and originality. The very things that satisfy Rick Henry's appetite for adrenaline, like Bounty Hunting, and Racecar driving, have fueled his musical career as a songwriter and artist who has an interesting story to tell. Although he still captures the occasional bad guy, for the most part Henry has hung up his cuffs, sold his race car, and even his prize ultra light airplane, to focus on his future in music. Rick Henry is making his presence known in the Nashville songwriting scene, working with some of Nashville's hit songwriters.

Rick Henry takes pages from his own life and turns them into heart rending, and dramatic stories the average Joe can relate to. Catchy melodies are wrapped in a deep voice reminiscent of Randy Travis, yet delivered with the energy of a more rugged "mans man" kind of performer. Songs like "Bounty Huntin' Man", and "Wide Open" give a clear image of who he really is. This should put him on a fast track with media and the common fan that can identify and relate to him with ease. Rick Henry is not contrived. He's not slick... But he is as real as they come. |
