Vancouver may be on the edge of the world, but it's definitely on top of the Blues. Each and every submission that was recieved were excellent and deserved a track on the compliation. The goal of this compilation is to present a wide cross-section of music and styles. Once you've given these artists a listen you can read the linear notes that are superb anthology for the disc. Vancouver, B.C.'s Best Blues has a number of nationally and internationally known acts throughout the 16 tracks. This is the third installment of the Best Blues series. Seattle's Best Blues and Portland's Best Blues were released prior to VBB. Keep a watch out for volume 2 of Vancouver's Best Blues.

Vancouver's been home to a great blues scene for years. From the searing guitars of David Gogo and Jim Byrnes to the blues piano of Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne and Willie MacCalder, the harmonica of "Harpdog" Brown, scorchers from the Twisters, and the legendary Long John Baldry, Vancouver's sound is heard all over the Pacific Northwest.
