David Hutchison Nature Photography
David's journey of nature photography has led him to experience rapid growth both as a photographer and a person. He could not have anticipated being at the place where he is now, nor did he have a clear vision for the future.
His understanding of photography has expanded to the point where he is now able to teach others and his personal creativity has broadened. In a similar way, his life has developed more focus and I have a stronger sense of what is important.
His first subject matter of sighthound lure coursing (racing) soon developed into a passion for wildlife, and then landscapes, primarily those along the BC coast. Daivd's focus is now on producing fine art nature photography with an emphasis along the BC coastline.
David began selling his images in 2005 and now have a near full time business of creating limited edition prints, canvases and a series of greeting/art cards across B.C. For him, it is an honour when people appreciate his work enough to purchase and display it in their home or office. David wish is to bring to the public the opportunity to see parts of B.C. that many people never experience. One of his continuing goals is to communicate something unique in each of his photographs. This helps David strive to improve his craft with each and every photography outing or trip.
David's goal is to promote and educate people about nature conservation through photography. He has been fortunate to photograph species in their natural environment which is a constant reminder that conservation and education is vital for these species to survive and grow.
